Product Description

Tungsten Heavy Alloy Block For Balancing Weight

Tungsten alloy block is the product with regular shape, such as square, rectangle and other shape. Composition of it also includes Nickel, Titanium and Lead. The reason that we choose tungsten alloy to be substitution of Ni, Ti, and Al are follows. It's have excellent electric and thermal conductivity with high density of 16 g/cm3 to 18.5g/cm3, which is much higher than Nickel, Titanium and lead. Tungsten alloy also have good mechanical strength and small coefficient of expansion and high elastic modulus.
Tungsten alloy is a kind of W-based matrix with the W content of 85-99%. Its density can be up to 16.5-19.0g/cm3, which makes the product to be the ideal raw material as counterweight.  Tungsten alloy block can be used in racing cars, airplanes and sailboats where size plays an important role. Besides, it has excellent corrosion resistance and machining ability.
Due to the above mentioned advantage of tungsten alloy, it can be manufactured as the parts of military defense, extrusion die, some counterweights, such as yacht counterweights, vehicle counterweights, airplane counterweights, helicopter counterweights, boat counterweights, tank counterweights, etc.
Extrusion die is one of the forming techniques used in material processing, consisting of forcing the work pieces through a die, thereby reducing its cross section and increasing its length. Tungsten alloy block is the popular material for extrusion die because of its high melting point and corrosion resistance.

Tungsten alloy brick is just one of many shapes of tungsten alloy. Tungsten heavy alloys generally are refractory metals with two-phase composition consisting of W-Ni- Fe or W-Ni- Cu or even W-Ni-Cu-Fe. Some tungsten alloys also contain Co, Mo, Cr, etc. They can be manufactured into various shapes, such as rod, cube, block, brick, ring, etc.
Tungsten alloy plates are produced by good processing property billets and special cold and hot rolling technology; they can be used to make tungsten target, tungsten heat elements, tungsten radiation shields and tungsten channels for electronics, lightening, electro-vacuum industries.
Tungsten alloy plates play very important role in manufacturing of collimator for nuclear medicine, nuclear research, geological prospecting and security inspection. These materials provide reliable protection against X-rays and gamma radiation.
Tungsten alloy strip is small in volume, and very dense, which means it can be used in all the applications requiring small but heavy parts, such as counterweights for racing car, boat, yacht; sailboat, airplane, helicopter, racket, tank, etc. The most popular application for tungsten alloy strip is radiation shielding in the form of radiation shielding wall, shielding for X-ray tube, tungsten vial shielding, etc. Tungsten alloys usually consist of W-Ni- Fe or W-Ni- Cu or even W-Ni-Cu-Fe, some tungsten alloy also contain Co, Mo, Cr, etc. These applications all utilize its superior radiation adsorption capability. After precision machining, tungsten alloy strip possess wear resistance and anti-corrosive ability.

  Applications for Tungsten Alloy Plate:
1) Sports goods: Professional tungsten alloy plate for darts benchmarking. Fishing sinkers: bullet type, water drop type, pipe type etc.

2) Counterweights: high-density tungsten alloy plates used as counterweigh in various field, such as counterweight of mechanical hammer; fly hammer; oil drilling platform; darts rod, car counterweight piece etc.
3) Electrode material: it can be made into electrode, welding rod, electrical contact and pneumatic breaker.
4) Electronic sealing piece: due to its favorable high temperature resistance and thermal properties, electronic industry starts to adopt tungsten alloy plate as electronic sealing piece. electrical discharge machining of electrode and resistance welding electrode; high proportion electrical contacts, air circuit breaker in the contacts.
5) It can be machined into X-ray target material, collimator, nuclear container, syringe shielding etc.
